Hox Zodiac 2009 / Interactive Installation

This interactive project is inspired by the properties of the Homeobox genes which essentially define body regions in all animals as well as humans. We seek to create experiential space that relates the idea that we are all interconnected.

"One" is an interactive piece consisting of a single drop of ink in a suspended Petri dish and a large projection of the same drop. Viewer interaction with the suspended dish is the means of evolution for the animated ink blot.

Intelligent Design: Interspecies Art is a group exhibition of twenty international artists exploring human interaction with animals through a collection of provocative video installations, photographs, paintings, and sculptures.
Artists in the exhibition collaborate with the animal species, which may be domesticated, imaginary, laboratory, modeled, or wild.
