Metamorphosis
The sound is the vibrations recorded during metamorphosis have been speeded up by Gil Kuno. The date was recorded by shining a laser beam on a small micromirror attached to the crysalis and the beam deflection was recorded using a position sensitive detector and stored as a digital signal of deflection versus time. Paul Wilkinson designed the system and Andrew Pelling recorded the data.
