Today is one of the big days, today is our midterm. After another great beginning lecture we separated off into our groups to finalize the ideas for our final projects. Anticipation was sweating out of every pour.
After trying our hardest to make our idea the best it could possibly be and having all of us run over our lines to make sure we had our presentation down, after preparing our idea we all headed into the CNSI auditorium to share our ideas and to hopefully get some constructive criticism. Our idea was on hemophilia and we hoped to do well during this extremely important presentation.
Hemophilia is an extremely crippling genetic disorder that causes the one who receives it to be unable to clot their blood. This means that they can easily die from a simple bruise and they must always be near a doctor or they risk dying or receiving a very serious injury. Our cure would make the world a much better place for hemophiliacs and our nano bots would make the world a much better place for those suffering this disease.
After our presentations we got a taste of the artier side o things by going to the DESMA (Design Media Arts) presentations. We saw many different video games, music videos, and compilations that helped inspire our own projects and gained valuable insights on what being an artist really is. Overall, today was an extremely nerve wracking but successful and fun day.
