Day 7: Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

The summer sun had set and the incandescent glow of the big screen of Mann Theater lit up. For two hours, the limitations of reality were replaced by the possibilities of magic and all that defies the laws of known science. However, there will always be a few parts that perplex me.

The first would be the pensive. Memories have long been a controversial topic as many fear that changes in memory could alter the past, present and future of the person in question if mishandled. The movie The Butterfly Effect is a prime example of this. However, the concept of memory projection is one that could be possible in the future, where the person cannot influence his past but only recall deep memories. After all, the human brain has an amazing capacity to store the oldest of memories in the cerebrum.

The second would be the invisibility cloak. Further studies into invisibility in the past two years have proven that it is not too far fetched to assume that an invisibility cloak could be made sometime in the near future. With the theory of the 10 laws of relativity, the idea that it is possible for the images in the spiral of overlapping time impacting what we see is not so far fetched.

The final would be inferno that rose in the cave that Harry rowed into with Dumbledoor. While the living dead may be a far-fetched idea, if nanotechnology becomes able to regenerate itself into rebuilding and reconstructing dead cells, the cause for cancer and death could be cured.
