Diane Gromala (Canada)

Short Bio:
Diane Gromala is a Canadian artist, researcher, and educator whose work explores the intersections of virtual reality, immersive media, design, and health. Her interdisciplinary practice focuses on using emerging technologies to investigate embodiment, perception, pain, and healing. She is a Professor in the School of Interactive Arts and Technology (SIAT) at Simon Fraser University, where she directs research on virtual reality and human-centered design, collaborating across art, science, medicine, and technology to create immersive experiences that support well-being and innovation.
