Tomorrow we are going to present our final projects. These projects are a summation of everything we have learned in these 2 weeks applied to a product or art design. In my thematic group, we used nano bots that create an alternate reality for someone to escape to. These bots would be injected into the brain and intercept brain signals in order to manipulate all 5 senses. Therefore a true false reality can be experienced. Developing this project has been quite difficult and has required much comprehension, and innovation. But thankfully we are almost finished, and can soon be able to go home and apply this knowledge to our real lives.
Looking back on these past weeks, I realized that I learned a great deal more than I thought. My favorite experiences were the Plasma Lab, the Engineering Lab Visits, and the Anechoic Chamber. These experiments or visits have probably changed my future in Science forever. They led me to develop a new love for science, real sciences, not the boring science in school. Hopefully one day in the future I could find myself here at UCLA, or another prestigious school or lab and study sciences.
The theory of combining art and science has proven to be effective. During the first week our group developed an intricate scientific project for the Midterm. It had no relevance to art, and no creativity. During the next week our group shifted our views and were able to develop an idea that includes art, but still has a scientific backbone, exactly what the class was designed to do.
