a student group that aims to create a
community of creative minds from all Iyengar / Brenna McNamara / Melinda
majors. The group fosters the artistic Nguyen / Christine Sun / Lydia Janbay /
and scientific development of their Terry Zhang / Liya Oster / Jackie Chow /
members by working on collaborative Doreen Fahrahdel / Sabina Chang / Rajani
art pieces and showing them in a
public exhibit at the end of the year— Bansal / Navjot Singh / Noopur Goel /
including FUSION in 2014. Through this Monica Lu / Stephanie Gorman / Erin
organization, students explore the work Wilson / Tamara Slade
of other artist-scientists through
their partnership with the UCLA Art|Sci
Center, and by going on quarterly
trips to galleries and museums in Los
Angeles. Ultimately, they gain powerful
analytical and creative skills while
learning how to effectively communicate
across many disciplines.
