Art|Sci alum Kimberly Townes' film ZERO has been selected into the 2012 HBO Short Film Award Competition. ZERO tells the story of an introverted teen who is forced to defend herself when her bullies threaten to tell everyone in school about her crush on the math teacher, and uses math and physics to do it. Townes and ZERO have been a recipient of the 2009 Alfred P. Sloan/ UCLA Producton Grant and the 2009 Edie & Lew Wasserman Production Grant.
