Rhythms of Belonging
Victoria Vesna
Rhythms of Belonging is the theme of the first seminar series by The Rhythm Project at The Centre for Research in the Arts, Social Sciences and Humanities (CRASSH), Cambridge University, UK.
Rhythmic engagement forms the basis of social cohesion, empathy and trust. These reciprocal relationships not only bind us to others and the world around us, but are critical to our survival and collective flourishing. This term establishes the Rhythm Project as a space for creative collaboration as we explore rhythm as a paradigm for connection.
As a part of Rhythms of Belonging, Victoria Vesna will take part in a panel discussion, "Institutional Impositions." How do rhythm-based methodologies highlight the ways in which institutional and policy frameworks disrupt and dysregulate the equilibrium of complex collectives?
