Installation and Dance Performance between France and Observatory of Cerro Tololo Chile

 

This is in French only but worth checking the web site: it is an art project between France and Chile, with the astronomical observatory of Cerro Tololo. But more interesting, it involves dance and telepresence. It is on April 22nd.

"Overview" Live Film Streaming by Planetary Collective: 4/12/13

Planetary Collective’s film “Overview” will be shown as part of the AstroArt Programme in collaboration with Astronomers Without Borders (AWB) Global Astronomy Month (GAM) on April 12, from 14:30 to 16:30 UT.

The film, which has garnered more than 1.7 plays on Vimeo since its premiere at Harvard University on December 7, 2012, features interviews with five astronauts and portrays the enormous power of the Overview Effect (the cognitive shift resulting from seeing the Earth from space and in space) in words and images.
