HYBRID IDENTITIES, an International Art Festival of Photography, Video Art, Computer Graphics, Architecture and Performing Art, will be held in the city of Edinburgh, at the creative space The Old Ambulance Depot, from March 29th 2013, to March 31st 2013. Fifty artists, from different countries, have been selected to be part of this project.

Professor Erkki Huhtamo's new book "Illusions in Motion: Media Archaeology of the Moving Panorama and Related Spectacles" has been just published in the Leonardo Book Series at MIT Press. It is a huge exploration of media culture between the eighteenth and the twentieth centuries.

 Since 2010 the Finnish Society of Bioart is organizing the ARS BIOARCTICA RESIDENCY PROGRAM together with the Kilpisjärvi Biological Station of the University of Helsinki in the sub-Arctic Lapland.

The residency takes place in the facilities of the Kilpisjärvi
Biological Station. It provides the residents with a combined living and
working environment, a basic laboratory, internet connection and sauna.
